Internet Guide to OA Insignia

Download the Blue Book

The data files for the Blue Book, 6th edition can be downloaded for free. These are tab delimited text files, ready for importing into your favorite database program. These files are made freely available to you.

How to use them and in which database program you use them is entirely at your discretion. Sorry, but beyond any difficulties at this end with downloading the files, time will not permit me to provide free database support.

To download these files under Windows (tm) operating systems pass your mouse over the links below, click the right button, then select Save Target As (if using Internet Explorer) or Save Link As (if using Netscape Explorer). Other browsers have options similar to these.

Macintosh users should hold down the option key on their keyboard before clicking on the link for the file you wish to download. Otherwise your browser may attempt to display the entire text file in the browser window rather than download it.

There are four files that comprise the Blue Book database.

Use of these files for your own personal use is granted. Use for any commercial purposes is expressly forbidden by the American Scouting Historical Association, without their written permission. Please respect their intellectual property. Remember: A Scout is obedient; A Scout is trustworthy.
