"Menetomy" was the former name for the town of Arlington, Massachusetts, which was home of Sachem Council and Menetomi Lodge. It is believed that the proper Indian spelling was Menetomi, not Menetomy. Translation: "Fast running water," probably referring to the waters of the Mystic River, which runs through Arlington.
